Tim Kiernan - Managing Director
Tim has quite literally seen it all at Barkston as he is now its longest serving employee joining the company at its inception back in 1969. In that time he has held a number of senior positions eventually becoming MD in 2003 when he led the management buyout. When asked what he believes the strengths of the organisation are it is always the employees who top his list.

Jenny Duxbury - Financial Director
After joining Barkston as Financial Accountant some 15 years ago, Jenny has now risen to become the Financial Director a position she took up as part of the MBO in 2003. Jenny leads a small but dedicated team in accounts without whom the business could not function, like every other part of the business her department is all about teamwork.

Steve Rock - Commercial Director
Having been a crucial part of the MBO team back in 2003, Steve has helped the business develop not only with his expertise with our suppliers but also in overseeing the smooth running of the Leeds Distribution site. He has a hand in many pies, including our marketing and PR strategies as well as developing key business relationships. His 13 years with the company has seen him develop from Purchasing Manager to his now current role as Commercial Director.

Roy Kitchman - Operations Director
Roy is another example of a dedicated Barkston Employee. In his 20 years with the business he has fulfilled many roles and has risen through the ranks to take part in the MBO and eventually become Operations director for plastic sales. Roy who also runs the Hull branch is largely responsible for our key account relationships as well as overseeing much of the day to day activity in plastic sales.

Mark Carter - Operations Director
As his key duty Mark runs operations of our Engineering facilities, an area he is very familiar with as he began his career here 22 years ago as an apprentice fabricator. His influence is felt far and wide as he also runs our Newcastle branch and continues to have a strong influence over the design and estimating departments within Engineering.

Ian Deakin - Sales Director
As a trained engineer Ian’s influence in guiding engineering sales is obvious to all, his many years of sales experience in blue chip environments brings a highly professional approach to the team. As a relative new comer to the business with only 5 years service Ian is now a key factor in the continued growth of Barkston Plastics engineering.

Mark Thompson - Sales Manager
As the New kid on the block with only 2 years service Mark has brought with him a wealth of Plastic and general sales experience. Formerly sales manager at British Vita and having worked overseas for Sun Microsystems and Fuji Xerox, he has developed the company sales strategy and moved the business into many new areas.
