Lighting up King Edward’s

Barkston worked with children at King Edward’s school during summer 2010 to create a spectacular double walled tube. The contents of the light tube you can see here is comprised entirely of plastic collected in Birmingham.
The bands of colour are in proportion with the spectrum of visible light, invisible band widths are represented by the clear, white and black bands.

Ross Spencer, Project Leader was thrilled with the results “It worked a treat and was every I hoped it would be and more.”

How important is it that waste plastic is recycled?
